Metro Parks Tacoma Adaptive Recreation Programs provide recreational,  social, and athletic opportunities for people with physical disabilities, along with their friends, and their families.

Specially trained Adaptive Recreation staff and volunteers are committed to each participant's success in reaching his or her specific goals. Participants at all levels can take advantage of opportunities to:

• Compete

Adaptive Recreation is sports and recreation for people with physical disabilities but is open to all. It is different from our Specialized Recreation program where we cater to people with all types of disabilities – specifically people with developmental disabilities.
