The Tacoma Open exposes amateur golfers to the world of professional golf. Experience the thrill of playing alongside the best Pacific Northwest Professional Golfers as they compete for one of the richest purses in the Pacific Northwest. 

The 54-hole individual golf tournament features a 36-hole professional and amateur cut and a total purse exceeding $45,000.

FULL FIELD Max 80 Professionals, Max 80 Amateurs, 160 Total Golfers
 
FEES Professional Golfer $350, Amateur Open and Net Golfer $250.

  • Round One – AM or PM Tee Times off #1 & #10
  • Meal provided by – Foley’s on the Green

 

Saturday, September 17

  • Round Two – AM or PM Tee Times off #1 & #10
  • Field Cut to Low 1/3 of field
  • Meal provided by – Foley’s on the Green

Sunday, September 18

  • Final Round – AM Tee Times off #1 – Leaders off last
CUT After 36 holes are played, the field will be cut to the low 30 professionals and ties. The amateur field will be cut to low 90 amateurs and ties.
 
STARTING TIMES Groupings and starting times will be available on Wednesday, September 14th by 5:00 pm at Meadow Park Golf Course or on this website. Competitors are responsible for knowing their starting time and tee.
 
SEPARATE TEE POLICY Although competing from separate tees, men and women will compete for the same purse.
 
DRESS CODE Contestants (professional or amateur) may not wear jeans or Metal Spiked Shoes. Collared shirts required.
 
ETIQUETTE This is a professional golf tournament. Proper etiquette is required. Pace of play will be enforced. Please respect your fellow competitors. Rules officials will be present.

ELIGIBLE PLAYERS All Golf Professionals and all amateurs (as defined by the USGA) with current USGA handicap indexes. 

Contestants entering as amateurs may not accept professional money. Amateur prizes are paid as pro-shop credit.

Golfers may enter the tournament without an established Ghin and will play in the Amateur Open division alongside the pros but will not be eligible for prizes.
