Black Cat Fun Run
Both courses begin and end near the kiosk at the Pearl Street entrance to Point Defiance Park and both are chip-timed.
Walkers, kids and strollers are welcome to join the moonlit merriment! How dark will the race course be?Dark! Minimal lighting will be provided on the course. Participants are encouraged to bring glow sticks, wear headlamps and/or carry flashlights. An aid/water station will be located at the 2.5 mile mark (on the 5 mile course). Volunteers as well as course markers will be aplenty and the Wheelman's bicycle club members will be riding by with lights on their bikes to help light the way. Costume Contest Best Overall Costume will win running shoe gift certificate from South Sound Running! Other prizes will be awarded for best costumes in the categories of Best Dog Costume, Best Kids Costume, and Worst Costume. Prizes Free running shoe certificates from South Sound Running will be awarded to the first place male/female finishers in both events. Post-Race Fun Live music, hay bales, snacks, beverages, door prizes and costume contest under a large tent from 5:30-7:30
