Bonfires, Beaver Pelts and Bogeymen

bonfires storytelling event

October 25 and 26

7 - 9pm

Celebrate Halloween in the style of past centuries with ghost stories told around a roaring bonfire!

Follow a trail of glowing jack o'lanterns to the bonfire where storytellers from the past will send shivers down your spine as their words bring forth the spirits of the fur trade.

The storytelling begins at 7 pm with gentler tales and, after a break for complimentary cider and cookies, the stories get increasingly scarier!

A couple of reminders....
  • Be sure to dress for the weather. Feel free to bring along some blankets to help keep you warm.
  • Benches and bleachers are provided for seating but you are also welcome to bring your own lawn chair or blanket for additional comfort.
  • If the weather is rainy please do not bring an umbrella. They are very noisy and make it difficult for everyone to hear the storytellers. Wear appropriate rain gear instead.
  • All revenue generated at this event goes directly to support the programs and activities at Fort Nisqually Living History Museum.

Tickets can be purchased at the event or online in the fall.

This is a Fort Nisqually Foundation event.
