Discovery Pond

Where adventure and learning happen naturally . . .

Discovery Pond is a natural play area for children designed to inspire creative play and environmental learning. It has unconventional play features like a tree house, boulder scramble, slide inside a hollow log, snag climb, pond with waterfalls and log crossing, walking trails and rain gardens.

HOURS OF OPERATION

  • Open daily from 9:30 am to 30 minutes after sunset except when reserved
  • Current Reservation Schedule / Closed:
      May 25 (10:30-11:30)

RESERVE DISCOVERY POND FOR YOU GROUP OR PARTY
Reservations give you exclusive use of the play area for one hour and the picnic shelter for two and one-half hours.

  • Reservable times:
    - Monday-Saturday / $150 
      Picnic Shelter from 10:00 am-12:30 pm / Discovery Pond from 10:30-11:30 am
      Picnic Shelter from 1:00-3:30 pm / Discovery Pond from 1:30-2:30 pm
    - Sunday / $200
      Picnic Shelter from 10:00 am-12:30 pm / Discovery Pond from 10:30-11:30 am
      Picnic Shelter from 1:00-3:30 pm / Discovery Pond from 1:30-2:30 pm
    - This active rental program allows us to offer regular use of Discovery Pond at no charge to visitors.
