2013 Summer Camps
Fort Nisqually Kit Camp Age: 6Y - 8Y
Named after the young beavers (kits) important to the fur trade, campers experience the past with stories, songs, crafts and games as they participate in making history come alive. Grand finale is a campfire lunch for campers and parents. A snack is included each day.

Camp Fort Nisqually Age: 12Y - 14Y
Participants discover what life was like at Puget Sound's firsttrading post. Campers take an in-depth look at people and events that shaped the Fort's history and learn 19th century skills such as blacksmithing, fire starting and candle making. Camp includes a Thursday night sleepover with dinner and breakfast provided.

Family Overnight Camp Ages: 5 to Adult
This overnight experience for children and adults includes period crafts, Fort Nisqually's Family Fun Night, a late-evening campfire, preparing meals 19th century style and sleeping under the stars or in a canvas tent.

History Through the Arts Camp Age: 9Y - 11Y
Campers participate in activities related to the mid-19th century. Learning crafts, activities, music and games associated with the many cultures that were part of Fort Nisqually. Friday will include a picnic lunch for campers.
