GUIDELINES:
- Internships are 8-20 week commitments made by persons interested in gaining career readiness experience as part of a course of study.
- Internships include at least one major project that the intern has a significant level of responsibility to complete in addition to daily functions.
- Interns must be connected with, or a recent graduate of, a two or four year educational organization.
- Interns must be able to commit to the minimum internship of 120 hours.
- Interns must provide Metro Parks Tacoma with all the guidelines required by their educational organization in advance.
- Interns must meet the same screening requirements as any volunteer.
COMPENSATION:
- Interns at Metro Parks Tacoma serve without compensation unless the candidate is a work study student and the position is one that the agency would normally hire and pay part-time staff to fulfill.
