Overlooking the Nalley Valley, this neighborhood park will soon feature a new basketball court, playground and picnic amenities.

Irving Park is 2.7 acres and was established in 1946.

PARK IMPROVEMENTS
Current/2013
- Phase II Improvements including widen and resurface the existing basketball court, restripe court, 2 new basketball backstops/hoops, 2 new picnic tables and new irrigation system. $100,000 funding is coming from the general fund. The new basketball court should be open by mid-June. The contract bid was just approved May 2013. Picnic tables and irrigation should be completed in August.  Any changes to the landscape will be determined and made in conjunction with the community.
05/31/13 Status: $86,000 is being added to this project from the General Fund Operating budget to supplement the irrigation.

2012 - The wading pool and restroom building were removed; fencing was replaced along south 25th Street and the basketball court was repaved. Work was funded by the Parks Improvement Bond Measure, approved by the citizens of Tacoma in November of 2005.
