Established in 1915, what was once a tourist camp is now filled with firs and grassy areas and a variety of recreational features.

This is a 7.4 acre park.

Picnic Shelter Rental Sites will be available between April 1 and September 30 starting in 2013. Reservations may be made up to 365 days in advance.

PARK IMPROVEMENTS
2011-2012
Design Development Plan, playground upgrades, access, fencing, picnic shelter, site furnishings, new water line, security lighting, replace barrier wall, and pave parking area. Work was funded by the Parks Improvement Bond Measure, approved by the citizens of Tacoma in November of 2005.

Manitou's tourist parkHISTORY
The Metropolitan Park District purchased 10 acres in what was the extreme southwestern corner of the city. At the time, Manitou Park was considered to be one of the best tourist camps along Pacific Highway. Read more about the history of Manitou Park.
