• Our rental fleet boats are stable 14’ fiberglass skiffs with 9.9 HP Mercury motors.
• We supply all of the required safety gear and a tank of gas.

Daily rentals of boats remains a very popular and fun way to enjoy the scenery and maybe even bring in a big salmon. Due to our location on the north side of Point Defiance the water is normally quite calm and without wind waves. The massive Point blocks the prevailing southwesterly winds. This allows smaller boats to safely enjoy the large water expanses of Puget Sound!

Near the beginning of last century the Boathouse had about 250 spaces for boat storage and a fleet of rental boats 200 strong. Deck hands would be lowering wooden skiffs to the water at a rate of one per minute at times and many days the facility would rent every single boat!

Now that more people own larger boats and bring them via truck and trailer our rental fleet is diminished from those good old days but chances are if you come see us we’ll have one available for you.
