United Way Day of Caring
September 21, 9am-noon

Each year, the United Way challenges corporate groups and individuals to get involved in local community projects on the 3rd Friday in September.

Metro Parks Tacoma hosts or co-hosts sites in order to improve our natural spaces and nature-centered facilities.

Come help out with planting, pruning, invasive removal, litter pick up and more at Wapato, Point Defiance, Charlotte’s Blueberry and Titlow Parks from 9 am to noon on Friday, September 21.  Learn More

Wake Up for Wapato
September 22, 9am-noon

Help us kick off the Wapato Sustainability Project and try out recent park improvements including a new loop trail around the lake and new dog park! The city led Wapato Sustainability Project is a coordinated outreach program which will showcase various programs and initiatives currently available to Tacoma homeowners. Tacoma Public Utilities, City of Tacoma, Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, Pierce Conservation District, Pierce County Health and Metro Parks Tacoma are a few of the participants. Learn More
