This 3.28 acre park was established in 1937.
2013 - Demolition of the field house is expected to begin in March 2013 and should be completed in May 2013. A replacement shelter and other minor site improvements including removal or filling of an underground oil tank, minor irrigation upgrades and entry/parking upgrades will be provided by the general contractor conducting the demolition. Work is being funded by the Parks Improvement Bond Measure, approved by the citizens of Tacoma in November of 2005.

2011-2012 - Active playground feature and general site upgrades including new site furnishings, a spinner play feature suitable for 2-5 year olds, upgraded accessible pathways and parking stall. Work was funded by the Parks Improvement Bond Measure, approved by the citizens of Tacoma in November of 2005.
2011 - Schematic Design Development Plan completed to guide future improvements to this park. Work completed by Robert Droll.
