Social Recreation Programs
Our Social Recreation Programs, based in community centers, are designed for people with disabilities to have fun and socialize with peers. Participants help plan an activity calendar that includes making crafts, playing games, dancing and seasonal parties.
- THE WEEKLY SCENE
These groups are formally TNAC and YAAG. Participants may only pick ONE night! This is a group where you can socialize with your friends, play games, dance to music, and participate in the arts. View Flyer - SELF ADVOCATES
An organization in which you can learn to speak for yourself, be more independent, and plan activities. - METRO MILERS
A social group for people who want to learn about nutrition and fitness. Some time will be spent in the class room, some in the kitchen and some outside walking and exercising. - DAYTIMES
Be creative with crafts, play games, socialize, and do some easy exercise activities. Bring bag lunch.View Flyer - BOWLING
Practice and league competition. Participants can only sign up for one day. Bring $4.00 each time for two games and shoes. Location: Pacific Lanes 7015 South D Street. - OUTDOOR ADVENTURE CLUB
A social recreation club to learn about outdoor activities, like rock climbing, hiking, environment and nature. - YOUTH INFORMATION
