Review Master Plan

At their March 22, 2010 meeting the Metro Parks Board of Commissioners approved a revised budget ($7.4 million) to develop the first phase of Kandle Park including irrigation throughout the park, extensive landscaping, walking trails, a new playground, skate dots, mini-sprayground, additional parking, 7,500 sf zero-depth wave pool, four 25 meter lap lanes, spray toys, separate spraypool, and support buildings.

Click here to view the plan.  The current schedule has the project bidding in the Fall of 2010 and construction from January 2011 through Fall of 2011.  Most of the park should be open by Summer of 2011 but the pool will not open until Summer of 2012.

Develop Master Plan and begin implementation to include irrigation upgrades, court resurfacing, plus improvements to be determined. / An aquatic facility and associated support structures has been added as the result of North/West/Central Pool planning.
