Results of our current review have been recorded in an Agency Compliance Manual to reiterate Metro Parks Tacoma's standards, and communicate the expectation for inclusion and accessibility throughout the district's programs and facilities. This manual is a key element of our strategy to make inclusion and accessibility standard components of program and facility decisions.

The Agency Compliance Manual is available at the top of this page, along with our Inclusion, Diversity, and Accessibility policy which was adopted by the Board of Park Commissioners earlier this year.

Following these forums we will perform audits of Ruston Way, Point Defiance Park, Northwest Trek and other regional and signature facilities, completing the full inventory of park district locations by the end of 2009.

For more information about the self-evaluation plan or Metro Parks Tacoma's accessibility coordination, contact Roxanne Miles, Interim ADA Compliance Officer, at inclusion@tacomaparks.com or 305.1068.
