Grand Opening - September 11, 2010 
Discovery Pond is a natural play area for children designed to inspire creative play and environmental learning. Located at the corner of 19th and Tyler, Discovery Pond will have unconventional play features including a tree house, boulder scramble, a slide inside a hollow log, snag climb, a pond with waterfalls and a log crossing, walking trails and rain gardens. The play area will provide a natural environment where young children can be immersed in nature exploration that supplements the programming of the adjacent Nature Center.

The play area will be open to the public daily from 9:30am - 30 minutes after sunset.
If you would like to make a reservation for Discovery Pond, you would have exclusive use of the play area for one hour. You will also have access to our picnic area for a total of 2.5 hours. Birthday parties also receive a special Discovery Pond gift for the birthday child. Call today for availability (253) 591-6439.
