- CHIP-In! is a partnership between Metro Parks and you, the Tacoma community, which keeps parks and facilities attractive and open to the public through sponsorship, volunteerism and donations.
- Parks Appreciation Day takes place every April in conjunction with Earth Day. Volunteers from all over Pierce County team up to celebrate Parks Appreciation Day, working to spruce up local parks in communities throughout the county.
