South Park Community Center

South Park Community Center is located in an attractively landscaped urban park complete with gazebo and flower gardens. This popular location serves the recreational and leisure needs of children and adults living in the southern part of Tacoma. Steeped in rich history, the facility was a popular USO location during World War II and still boasts an excellent dance floor.

Current Construction at South Park

Some exciting enhancements and upgrades are being made to South Park Community Center with 2005 Park Improvement Bond funds. You can view some of the construction photos here:

Ballroom Dances

South Park Ballroom Dance Club. Membership is free, dance admission $6.
Live music by Casanova, dance and light refreshments. Couples and singles welcome. Call ahead about dances on holidays.
Every Sunday from 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Every Monday 1-3 pm
