Recognition and thank yous are deserving to all volunteers; we had a great turn out and level of support was fantastic. Throughout the county, over the past six years for PAD there has been over 12,000 volunteers, 290 park sites beautified, at least 36,000 volunteer hours, and a demonstration for the appreciation for park spaces. We would like to thank them all for helping make Parks Appreciation Day a success.

We want to recognize and thank our site leaders for their participation, contributions, sharing extra time and a vested interest in this event.  It is great to see this program spread through the community stimulating volunteer effort, community involvement, support, and ongoing park interest throughout the community.

COUNTY-WIDE EVENT SPONSORS:
We want to recognize & show our appreciation to major contributing sponsors for Parks Appreciation Day.

We would like to recognize and thank The News Tribune for their ongoing contributions for in-kind support with marketing for the event, Starbucks Coffee for their contribution of $5,000 and another means of support with their program "make your mark campaign" and HomeStreet Bank for their generosity through contributions which total for the six years at $35,000.

Others that contributed funds to support this program include Pierce County, City of Bonney Lake, City of Gig Harbor, City of Lakewood, Key Peninsula Metro & City of Puyallup.
