It’s time to put the “fun” in “fun run” and help a worthy cause at the same time! The Goldfish Gallop 5k fun run at 7 pm on Saturday, August 7 begins at the entrance to Point Defiance Park and ends across the street at the Goldfish Tavern.
All proceeds benefit Metro Parks Tacoma’s Sherpa Youth Leadership Program which provides training and opportunities for area youth to develop into strong future community leaders.
Runners ages 21 and older will enjoy a refreshing evening run through the park followed by refreshing frosty beverages at the Goldfish Tavern. Finish line fun includes discounts on food and beverages, special prizes, fish-face contest and more.
Participants must be 21 or older. Sign up online at www.MetroParksTacoma.org or at the Metro Parks main office, 4702 S. 19th. There will be no day-of-race registration. $15 registration fee includes t-shirt.
This event is sponsored by Metro Parks Tacoma, The Goldfish Tavern and the Mad Hat Tea Company.
