In 2004 Rogers Park became the first official off-leash dog park in Tacoma. A community garden and updated play equipment were added in 2011.
This park is 2.4 acres.
PARK IMPROVEMENTS
2011 - A new community garden was started.
2011 - Replacement play equipment was installed along with a maxi-can litter receptacle. Work was funded by the Parks Improvement Bond Measure, approved by the citizens of Tacoma in November of 2005. Partial funding provided by WA Cities Insurance Authority ($10,280).
