SPARX is a middle-school based youth development program on the school campus created to inspire and enable students to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

SPARX is in these Tacoma middle schools: Baker, Giaudrone, Gray, Jason Lee, Mason, Meeker, Stewart, Truman. (Note: Meeker SPARX participants meet at the Center at Norpoint).

SPARX provides structured after-school activities that include instructional sports, visual and performing arts, and educational clubs.

Clubs will run for 6 weeks and will meet twice a week on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.  Each day snack will run from 2:45-3:15 and clubs will meet from 3:15-4:15. 

Registration includes a daily snack, and supplies, materials and instruction. The cost is $15 per club. Financial Assistance is available please contact your school’s Sparx Leader or call (253) 305-1063 for more information.

IN SPARX:
Middle Schoolers are getting the added spark they need to get connected, stay in school, and achieve.

No need to worry about getting home from SPARX. The Activity Bus departs from all the participating schools at 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Please check with your school's activity bus schedule for changes.
