Parks throughout Pierce County 
We'll trim limbs, groom grounds and plant flowers and trees during one of the largest attended environmental volunteer days in the south sound.

Each year, the United Way challenges corporate groups and individuals to get involved in local community projects on the 3rd Friday in September.  Metro Parks Tacoma hosts or co-hosts sites in order to improve our natural areas and nature-centered facilities.  Green Tacoma Day 2012 GREEN TACOMA DAY
October 10, 2015  from 10 am-1 pm
This event takes place at multiple parks throughout the nation in conjunction with National Publics Lands Day. It is delivered through the Green Tacoma Partnership with a focus centered on habitat restoration in our natural areas.
