What swim lesson level should I sign up for?

Youth Swim Lessons 
(Station pre-requisites in italics)

Parent/Tot Swim Lessons: Learn water safety and fun! Introduces basic skills: Gradual water adaptation, submersion of the face, blowing bubbles and bobbing. Learn front and back floats. Prep to enter Tot class at age 3.

Tot Swim Lessons: Introduces basic skills: Gradual water adaptation, submersion of the face, blowing bubbles and bobbing. Emphasizes safety and fun in the water. Learn front and back floats and front/back glides.

Station 1: For beginners, introducing basic skills: Gradual water adaptation, submersion of the face, blowing bubbles, bobbing with bubbles and air exchange.

Station 2: Perform 10 relaxed bobs with air exchange. Learn front float and recover, back float and recover, and back glide and recover.

Station 3: Comfortably hold breath and float on front and back. Learn kicking skills with front/back glide.

Station 4: Master breath control, body position and kicking on their front and back on top of the water. Learn side-glide kick and the crawl arm stroke.

Station 5: Crawl stroke without breathing for 20 feet with good technique. Learn crawl stroke with side breathing and back stroke.

Station 6: Crawl stroke with continuous side breathing and ability to swim on back. Learn extended crawl, backstroke and treading water.

Station 7: Swim crawl stroke for 75 feet and backstroke for 30 feet with good technique. Learn breaststroke kick and butterfly kick.

Station 8: Swim 50 yards crawl stroke, 25 yards backstroke and kick breaststroke for 20 feet with good technique. Learn crawl stroke, backstroke endurance, breaststroke and butterfly technique and turns for each stroke.

Station 9: Swim 100 yards crawl stroke, 25 yards breaststroke and butterfly for 30 feet. Learn sidestroke and elementary backstroke.

Station 10: Learn extended swimming and technique refinement in all major strokes and turns. Swimmers will graduate as they swim 300 yards freestyle, 100 yards backstroke and a 100 yard IM.
