The Foss Waterway Esplanade is a linear park that provides an ideal location for jogging or a leisurely stroll to take in the public docks, marinas and public art installations. The esplanade was designed with the ABC's of waterfront development in mind: access, boating, and character.
Corridors provide access to and from Dock Street as well as preserve views from Downtown Tacoma. Educational signage tells the story of the Foss Waterway cleanup and the investment that has been made in the health of the Waterway.

Follow the esplanade from George H. Weyerhaeuser, Jr. Park to Thea's Park and enjoy cultural facilities, museums and the historic warehouse structures.

The esplanade also provides access to public docks and piers, such as the North Moorage Float, Pier A, 15th Street Float, and 16th Street Pier.
