Is participation in the show required?
While we would love every child to participate, please keep in mind that participation is optional and your child is more than welcome to continue taking classes even if they choose not to perform in the show. Every child will learn the performance choreography in class regardless of whether or not they have chosen to be in the performance.
When will I find out what weekend my child will be performing? What happens if we have a schedule conflict?
Cast Lists/scheduled weekends will be made public on February 16th. At that point, if your child is scheduled on a weekend that you will be unable to attend, you will have until February 20th at 5pm to withdraw your child from the performance roster. After that point, costumes will be ordered and Metro Arts will be unable to refund performance fees.
My child is in two classes and has a sibling in the program……will they be performing the same weekend?
Yes! J Metro Arts takes great care to schedule students and their siblings so that they are only performing one of the two performance weekends. It is for this reason that we are unable to reveal cast lists until after registration closes. We appreciate our parents understanding that the process of scheduling is already very complex due to siblings and children in multiple classes, and therefore we are unable to take requests from families for which weekend they would like to perform.
