Eastside Community Center Gets a Major Boost
Bryan Flint, executive director of the Greater Metro Parks Foundation, informed the commissioners that his foundation’s board voted to undertake a $4.5 million capital campaign for Eastside Community Center, which is under development.
Eastside Community Center is expected to cost about $30 million, and GMPF’s campaign will contribute significantly to making the community center a reality. The foundation’s first campaign meeting already has taken place. Construction is planned for 2016.*
