A 20 by 38 foot Harbor Flag welcomes people from all nations into the Port of Tacoma from Thea’s Park.

Thea’s Park is 3.4 acres in size and was established in 1996 at the entrance to the Foss Waterway in Tacoma’s downtown waterfront. A 20 by 38 foot harbor flag welcomes people from all nations and a giant globe creates an instantly recognizable landmark from land or sea.

Watch ships and tugboats coming and going, cranes lifting cargo at the busy Port, take a stroll along the esplanade, visit the historic warehouses, and the Murray Morgan Bridge.

You may also glimpse floatplanes, harbor seals, sea lions, and kayakers. A gangway from the Park takes visitors out onto the North Moorage float where guests can tie up their boat for the day.
