Nestled in the quiet suburb of Northeast Tacoma is the Margaret McCormick Social Hall, located at the Center at Norpoint.

The Margaret McCormick Social Hall features hardwood floors, an exposed beam ceiling design, and an outdoor patio space. Half of the hall can hold 110 people.

A full kitchen is included with your rental. Outside caterers are welcome and liquor may be served with a banquet permit. The Center at Norpoint is ADA accessible and has ample parking.

The Margaret McCormick Social Hall is open daily for tours.

Rental FAQs

Will there be Norpoint staff members at my event?

Yes, you will have a Rental Monitor during your event. The Monitor is there to answer any questions, help out with your event in any way possible, and overall to ensure your event runs smoothly.

How much does it cost to rent the Margaret McCormick Social Hall?

A four-hour minimum reservation is required for the Hall. A refundable damage deposit is required 15 days prior to rental date. Please see price list located under forms.

How big is the hall?

The Margaret McCormick Hall is 3,155 sq. feet and can hold up to 250 people. Half of the Hall (North or South) is 1,577 sq. feet and can hold up to 110 people.

What types of events are held in the Margaret McCormick Hall?

We have previously had weddings, receptions, memorials, banquets, meetings, corporate events and family gatherings at our location.

Can I have alcohol at my event?

Yes. You must have a banquet permit and a licensed bartender in order to serve alcohol at your event. Fees for the damage deposit and security guards will be added on to the total cost of your rental.

Is there a designated smoking area?

No. Smoking is prohibited at all Metro Parks Tacoma locations. You may smoke off the premises.

Does the Margaret McCormick Hall have tables and chairs I can use?

Yes. The Margaret McCormick Hall has 250 black folding chairs, 30 round tables, and 8 buffet tables for you to use during your event. The round tables are 5 ft. in diameter and seat 8 people each. The buffet tables are 6 ft. by 2.5 ft.

Do you include setting up tables and chairs?

No. Set up and decorations are done by the renter.

Are linens, dishes and utensils provided?

No. Renters and caterers need to provide these.

What decorations are not allowed?

The following decorations are prohibited: helium balloons, staples, nails, Scotch tape or duct tape; confetti or glitter, sand, bird food, rice, open flame candles. Your decorating time is included in your rental time.

What does the kitchen include?

Our full kitchen includes two stoves, two ovens, freezer, and refrigerator.

What am I responsible for cleaning?

The renter is responsible for cleaning spills and debris as they occur indoor and outdoor. Managing garbage receptacles and placing half full bags in the large bin provided in the kitchen.
