CHIP-in! has several special events throughout the year, each with a different set of goals in mind, but all with the ultimate goal of improving our parks and natural areas.

	Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service January 21, 2019 from 9 am to noon Point Defiance Park, Titlow Park & McKinley Park Center at Norpoint (10 am-12 pm) Come help us spruce up our parks alongside other volunteers and give back to the community through a day of service! 	PARKS APPRECIATION DAY Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 9 am to noon Find dates and locations for participating parks throughout Pierce County We'll trim limbs, groom grounds and plant flowers and trees during one of the largest attended environmental volunteer days in the south sound.
	TRAILS DAY June 2, 2018 from 9 am to noon Celebrate National Trails Day at Point Defiance Park by doing trail improvements to help our existing trail system.
	GREEN TACOMA DAY October 13, 2018 from 10 am to 1 pm This event takes place at multiple parks throughout the nation in conjunction with National Public Lands Day. It is delivered through the Green Tacoma Partnership with a focus centered on habitat restoration in our natural areas.
