Treetops Rules

General Rules
The following rules are posted for the safety of your children. Treetops reserves the right to send a child home, suspend or withdraw a pass if a parent or child does not follow policies and procedures. Refunds will not be issued.

Indoor Playground

  • Socks only; no bare feet or shoes; no drawstring clothing or jewelry
  • Please no food, drinks, gum and/or outside toys; STAR Center is not liable for lost or stolen items
  • Keep hands and feet to yourself; no biting, spitting or throwing; descend feet first from all playground equipment
  • Be courteous to others; take turns and share; use kind and appropriate language
  • Be respectful and play safely on the playground, with toys and in the facility
  • Playground may be closed due to weather, staff ratios or maintenance issues and may not be open during Child Watch hours
  • Staff reserves the right to change capacity levels, write behavior reports and/or send a child home for not following rules or for being sick.
Outdoor Course

  • This playground is designed for children 44” or taller with shoes on; a pass is required for play
  • Shoes only; no flip flops or heels; no drawstring clothing or jewelry
  • Please no food, drinks, gum and /or outside toys; STAR Center is not liable for lost or stolen items
  • Keep hands and feet to yourself; no biting, spitting or throwing; pushing or shoving
  • Descend feet first from all playground equipment and use both hands; no more than two people on a bridge at a time
  • Be courteous to others; take turns and share, use kind and appropriate language
  • Be respectful and play safely on the playground, with toys and in the facility
  • Course may be closed due to weather, staff ratios or maintenance issues and may not be open during Child Watch hours
  • Staff reserves the right to change capacity levels, write behavior reports and/or send a child home for not following rules or for being sick

 

Parent/Guardian and Staff Responsibilities
Family Play: Ages 6 months-12 years

  • The child must have a pass; parents do not need a pass
  • Parents/Guardians must remain with and supervise their child(ren) at all times
  • If you have children split between the indoor and outdoor playgrounds, you need to have a parent/guardian available for BOTH playgrounds (two adults)
  • Parents/Guardians are solely responsible for their child’s actions and behavior, but not for the behavior of other children
  • Electronic devices, including laptops, tablets and cell phones, are not permitted for use by children or parents on the playgrounds
  • Please alert staff if there is a behavior, conflict, injury or equipment malfunction
  • All general playground or course rules apply to both parents and children


Child Watch: Ages 6 months to 12 years
 

  • A waiver is required and both the child and parent need a pass; parent STAR Pass is required for pick-up/drop-off; children will only be released to the adult that signs them in
  • Staff supervises Child Watch; no parents are allowed past designated check-in area; parents must remain on site; two-hour max per day
  • No personal toys, belongings, or electronic devices are permitted
  • Child Watch may be held in Tot Trek, party rooms or playgrounds; outdoor playground may not be open during Child Watch hours
  • Lil Leafs for ages 6 months – 2 years, may be held in the playground with children up to age 12 or held in a separate room, depending on hourly capacity
  • Parents will be asked to return to the playground for behaviors, accidents, diaper changes and/or 5+ minutes of inconsolable crying
  • Staff are not permitted to administer medications of any kind
  • Suggested staff ratios are 1:5 (6 months- 2 years); 1:10 (3-12 years). Staff reserve the right to modify ratios for any reason
  • All general playground rules apply to both parents and children
