The FREE Summer Playground Program operates at six park sites across Tacoma, Monday through Friday.

Playground leaders provide games, sports, arts and crafts and activities. Free lunch is provided to youth ages 18 and younger Monday-Friday from 12-1 pm (except July 4).

We will have special activities celebrating National Summer Learning Week (July 8-12) and in the weeks following, including Painting in the Park, Story Time, Science Experiments and more!

FREE Summer Meals are also served at these locations (with no playground program)

Metro Parks Tacoma announces the sponsorship of the Simplified Summer Food Program for Children. Meals will be made available at no charge to attending children 18 years of age and younger.

The program provides lunch at the sites listed below from 12-1 pm, Monday-Friday, June 24 through August 30, 2019 (There is no meal service on July 4).

Metro Parks Tacoma also partners with Fife Parks Department to offer a free lunch and afternoon snack at Colburn Park through their free drop in Playground Program. This program will operate June 24 to August 30 from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
